Judge Fifer is Trial Judge of the Year
The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Dallas Chapter names Judge King Fifer Trial Judge of the Year for 2009. Judge Fifer presides over Dallas County Court at Law 2, which handles civil matters. Judge Fifer was first elected to this court in 2006 after 13 years as a civil attorney in Dallas.
"Judge Fifer has exemplified excellence on the bench over the last several years. This award recognizes his exceptional work as a jurist and the respect he has earned in the legal community," said Jim L. Flegle, president of the Dallas Chapter of ABOTA.
Founded in 1957 and headquartered in Dallas, ABOTA is a national organization that works to elevate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession, provides continuing education and training for trial lawyers, and works for the preservation of the jury system in American civil justice.
